We are on the hunt for a High Voltage Electrician to join our team in Cairns. This is a Permanent role working a 9-day Fortnight.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

• Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring our valued customers are kept well informed of all matters in relation to job progress, repairs and costs

• Manage stakeholder engagement both internally and externally regarding parts and supply

• Working on generator sets and engine control panels, scheduled and unscheduled service works

• Prepare accurate and timely service reports, inspection reports, timecards and parts requests

• Support the sale of genuine parts, and when requested, give guidance and advice to the customer on supply of genuine parts.

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in: 

• High Voltage / Electrical Mechanical Fitter trade qualifications
• Suitable Licenses and Tickets to Perform High Risk
• Demonstrated industry experience in earthmoving, construction, generators, power systems, quarrying and open cut mining
• Experience in diesel/gas power station operation and maintenance
• An understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
• Well-developed communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrated and proven ability with electronic devices and or experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic and information systems (ET, Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
• Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident applicants only (we are unable to accept applications from candidates who are temporary residents)
