Australian Employer Sponsorship & Relocation Opportunity

We are seeking experienced heavy vehicle spray painters from South Africa who specialise in truck and commercial vehicle refinishing and are interested in relocating to Australia on an employer-sponsored working visa.

This is a speculative recruitment campaign. We work with multiple Australian employers nationwide, including truck dealerships, commercial body builders, and fleet repair facilities. Successful candidates will be matched to suitable employers after interview and trade assessment, with flexibility around preferred Australian location.

Overview

Australia has a strong and growing demand for skilled truck spray painters, particularly those with experience in commercial, fleet, and heavy vehicle environments.

This opportunity is strictly for candidates with experience on:

  • Trucks, prime movers, buses, or heavy commercial vehicles
  • Large panels, chassis components, and fleet refinishing
  • Workshop or dealership-based commercial repair environments

Automotive / light vehicle–only backgrounds are not suitable.

Age guide: Ideally under 42 years of age to support future eligibility for Australian Permanent Residency pathways (not a strict requirement, but strongly preferred).

Role Requirements

  • Qualified or time-served Spray Painter with heavy vehicle experience
  • 3–5+ years experience spraying trucks or commercial vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and refinishing processes
  • Experience working with large panels, cabs, chassis parts, and components
  • Comfortable working to OEM or fleet repair standards
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
  • Good English communication skills
  • Safety-focused approach to work

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Preparation of heavy vehicle panels and components (sanding, masking, priming)
  • Spray painting of truck cabs, trailers, chassis parts, and commercial bodies
  • Colour matching and high-quality finish work
  • Use of spray booths, airless and conventional spray equipment
  • Minor panel preparation and defect rectification as required
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organised work areas
  • Adhering to Australian WHS, environmental, and quality standards
  • Completing job documentation accurately

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: AUD $79,000 per year
  • (Approximately ZAR 940,000 – 970,000 per year, exchange rate dependent)
