Description
About the role
Our maintenance workshop based at Stuart, Townsville, operates 24/7 to support our internal and external customers.
Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics undertake scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installation of a wide range of equipment.
Our fleet include Mack, Volvo and Mercedes trucks; Skel trailers, acid tankers, tanker tippers and side tippers; and mobile plant such as road sweepers, loaders, excavators, reach stackers and forklifts.
For this reason, a HR licence is required.
This is a full-time role working alternating day/night shifts on a 5/4, 4/5, 5/5 ‘lifestyle’ roster.

Skills And Experiences
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be trade qualified in a relevant field and have experience with maintaining and servicing heavy equipment and/or mobile equipment. Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical system repair and maintenance is highly preferred. You will need to be able to use electronic resource planning software to capture service records and order parts.
To achieve our goals, it is critical that all parts work as a whole team. You should be willing to take accountability for your work performance and demonstrate a positive and proactive approach.
You will take pride in your work area and contribute to continually identifying opportunities to improve. Your innovative thinking and motivation to achieve will see you succeed in this role.
Due to our customer site safety requirements, you will need to be clean shaven when attending work.
We live and work in hot and/or dusty conditions, and at times you will be required to walk on uneven ground, climb ladders and work beneath equipment. A pre-employment medical and functional assessment will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
