At the forefront of the industry’s transition to zero emission buses, we are incredibly proud of, and passionate about, the extensive range of vehicles we offer.

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel mechanic, preferably with a background in the Bus, or Heavy Vehicle Industry. The core purpose of the role is to diagnose, repair and maintain all systems of the vehicle using a combination of technical expertise, diagnostic tools and hands-on skills. Mechanics are expected to work on a wide range of components including but not limited to, engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, pneumatic systems and electrical systems.

This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to our Service Manager in Perth.

Key Accountabilities are but not limited to –

• Support the preparation and inspection of new buses prior to delivery, ensuring readiness and compliance

• Assist with mechanical servicing and repairs across engine, hydraulic, pneumatic, auto electrical and braking systems

• Conduct routine inspections to identify and report mechanical issues promptly

• Utilise diagnostic tools to accurately identify and resolve faults

• Ensure all vehicles meet required safety and licensing standards

• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with OEM/manufacturer guidelines and company procedures

• Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently

• Accurately record time and job details on repair orders and relevant documentation

• Provide hands-on support to qualified Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics

• Maintain accurate data entry and manage work allocation using company software systems

• Uphold a clean, safe and organised workshop environment

• Carry out additional duties as required to support workshop operations

Skills and experience –

• Possess the relevant qualification as required for the role – Preferably Heavy Diesel Mechanical trade

• Has a willingness work outside of trade skill set assisting other trades with some duties where required

• MR Licence required / Forklift Licence desirable

• Electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle experience will be highly regarded however not necessary as full training will be provided

• Have the ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions

• Be a quick thinker and good have good problem-solving skills

• Have the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, client, and suppliers

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Is self-motivated and dedicated to high quality work and being part of a team
