Heavy Mobile Equipment - Boilermaker

Are you enthusiastic about safety and looking for a permanent full-time position as an HME Boilermaker. Ravenswood Gold have a position for a trade qualified boilermaker with experience in dump truck tray re-lining and repairs, excavator bucket, stick and boom structural repairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Examine excavator buckets and truck bodies daily for work scope on planned down days.
• General high-level boilermaker with experience in the heavy earthmoving industry.
• Carry out inspections, refurbishment & repair on all heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Record accurate measurements using precision measuring instruments and plan equipment in for future repair.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.
• Work in a safe manner as an individual and as a team member of the heavy mobile equipment team.
• Ability to carry out diesel fitting role from time to time on HME shut down work.

ABOUT YOU

• Have good verbal/written communication skills.
• Self-starting and self-managing with strong decision-making skills.
• Experience with Integrated systems and Microsoft Office applications, or similar is a benefit.
• Recognised experience with heavy mobile equipment working on a mine site.
• Proven skills in diagnosis/problem solving, innovation, project implementation and tracking.
• Manual C Class driver’s licence.
• Relevant Trade Qualification Boilermaker.
• Must live within a 200km radius of mine site.
• Experience in positional/ structural welding.
• Experience in pre and post heating and repairs.
• Have strong welding experience with large excavator buckets and rigid truck body’s (GMAW & FCAW).
