The Role:

We have a permanent full-time position available for a talented and dedicated Heavy Vehicle Mechanic as part of our Fleet Services Business, operating at RAAF Richmond Airforce base. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of a highly skilled, close-knit team maintaining a fleet of specialised light and heavy vehicles including Aviation Refuelling Vehicles (ARV), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) and much more. You will work closely with the customer helping to achieve their goals and operational outcomes. We are looking to invest and develop the right candidate to take on a leading-hand role in the near future. This particular role includes company provided tooling, laptop and phone.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • To be an Australian Citizen (requirement to hold appropriate Security Clearance).
  • Be able to successfully complete a Federal Police check (requirement to hold appropriate Security Clearance).
  • Successfully complete a pre-placement medical including D&A testing.
  • Hold a full driver’s licence(and be willing to obtain HR/HC/DG licenses).
  • Be a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (HCV).

  • Experience with Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical control systems.
  • Ability to utilize and follow technical information such as schematics, standards and procedures.
  • Have a passion for working with and developing others.
  • Be willing to undertake training and upskilling initiatives.
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive to achieve personal and professional goals.
  • **Experience with Aviation refuelling vehicles, Ground support equipment and Defence trade highly regarded
