Hampton Mining & Civil is seeking experienced and qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics looking for a new challenge and to develop in a role that requires mechanical aptitude and attention to process improvement.
About the role
- Repairs and Service of Heavy-Duty road trucks and earth-moving Equipment;
- Caterpillar component rebuilding experience essential; engines, transmissions, torque convertors & wheel ends
- Repairs and servicing checks;
- Recording of work completed;
- Safe operation, daily pre-start checks;
- Compliance with legislation, regulation and Company's policies & procedures;
- Maintenance of earth moving machines, in particular, CAT and Komatsu;
- Diagnostics and fault finding;
- Input to the Maintenance Management system
About you
- Considerable experience within a mining environment;
- Rebuild experience essential
- Australian trade papers or Australian trades recognition in heavy vehicle maintenance;
- Experience maintaining 777 Dump Trucks, D10 Dozers, 16H Graders and 100T+ Excavators;
- Experience servicing a wide range of earth moving equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu etc.;
- Willingness to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol test, including a Commercial Driver Fitness assessment;
- The ability to obtain a current satisfactory National Police Clearance;
- Possess rights to work in Australia.
