Hampton Mining & Civil is seeking experienced and qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics looking for a new challenge and to develop in a role that requires mechanical aptitude and attention to process improvement.

About the role


  • Repairs and Service of Heavy-Duty road trucks and earth-moving Equipment;

  • Caterpillar component rebuilding experience essential; engines, transmissions, torque convertors & wheel ends

  • Repairs and servicing checks;

  • Recording of work completed;

  • Safe operation, daily pre-start checks;

  • Compliance with legislation, regulation and Company's policies & procedures;

  • Maintenance of earth moving machines, in particular, CAT and Komatsu;

  • Diagnostics and fault finding;

  • Input to the Maintenance Management system

About you


  • Considerable experience within a mining environment;

  • Rebuild experience essential

  • Australian trade papers or Australian trades recognition in heavy vehicle maintenance;

  • Experience maintaining 777 Dump Trucks, D10 Dozers, 16H Graders and 100T+ Excavators;

  • Experience servicing a wide range of earth moving equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu etc.;

  • Willingness to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol test, including a Commercial Driver Fitness assessment;

  • The ability to obtain a current satisfactory National Police Clearance;

  • Possess rights to work in Australia.
