About the role


Monday - Friday 


Base rate 41.74 per hour


We are looking for a skilled Handyperson to perform daily maintenance operations at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The successful candidate will handle work orders, conduct repairs, and support our diverse team in maintaining a safe and functional environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Execute repairs to woodwork, including cabinets, doors, and fixtures, based on work orders and blueprints.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and conduct reactive repairs as necessary.

  • Organise and document maintenance tasks, providing timely updates and feedback on completed work.

  • Collaborate with other trades personnel and support staff to ensure seamless operations.

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting hazards.


Personal Qualities and Skills Required:



  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools with a commitment to safety.

  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent in work performance.

  • Excellent communication skills for accurate reporting and collaboration.
