Behind the scenes, our dedicated maintenance team keeps our hotel in top condition — and now we’re looking for a skilled and reliable Handyperson (Part-Time) to join us.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out general maintenance across guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house
  • Complete minor bathroom repairs such as grouting, tile fixes, silicone replacement
  • Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and respond to repair requests promptly
  • Perform painting, touch-ups, and surface repairs as required
  • Maintain air-conditioning filters, lighting, furniture, beds, lamps, and guest door locking systems
  • Ensure guest requests are completed efficiently and logged accurately
  • Support with any hotel renovation projects
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties to ensure smooth hotel operations
  • Always work in compliance with safety standards and regulations

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role in a hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Experience with carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Availability to work a 7 day roster which includes some evenings, weekends and public holidays
