We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Handyperson to join our experienced Maintenance team. If you’re hands-on, solutions-focused, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship, this is an opportunity to build your career in a dynamic hotel where no two days are the same.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out general maintenance across guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Complete minor bathroom repairs such as grouting, tile fixes, silicone replacement
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and respond to repair requests promptly
- Perform painting, touch-ups, and surface repairs as required
- Maintain air-conditioning filters, lighting, furniture, beds, lamps, and guest door locking systems
- Ensure guest requests are completed efficiently and logged accurately
- Support with any hotel renovation projects
- Undertake ad-hoc duties to ensure smooth hotel operations
- Always work in compliance with safety standards and regulations
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Handyperson, Maintenance or General Maintenance role, ideally within a hotel or commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Experience with carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise work and manage competing tasks.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding internal and guest service
- Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
