We are seeking a hands-on Multi-Trade Facilities Maintenance worker to carry out building and carpentry maintenance across active mine sites. This role focuses on keeping site facilities, infrastructure, and accommodation assets safe, functional, and well-maintained.
The position involves general maintenance and minor works, carpentry repairs, and building maintenance tasks, including doors, walls, floors, fixtures, and fittings. You will also undertake routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs as required to support daily site operations.
Work is performed in accordance with site safety systems, permits, and relevant Australian Standards. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage day-to-day maintenance tasks, and respond promptly to maintenance requests in a remote or mining environment.
You will liaise with supervisors, operations staff, and contractors to coordinate works and ensure minimal disruption to site activities. A strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and quality workmanship is essential.
Previous experience in facilities or mine-site maintenance is preferred and candidates with Rio Tinto inductions are encouraged to apply. Trade qualifications and relevant training tickets in carpentry (e.g. WAH, EWP) along with a practical, solution-focused attitude, are key to succeeding in this role.
Please note this role is open to Karratha and surrounding residents only.
