About the role

Based in Leeton, we have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate Engineer to provide support to the Group businesses through the assistance in design, specification and delivery of engineering projects and the provision of technical support.  More specifically, your duties will include:

 

  • Familiarisation with the overall business and operations
  • Developing competency in process/mechanical engineering design and project management relevant to the food industry
  • Undertaking investigations, feasibility studies and providing written reports
  • Preparing estimates for projects
  • Assisting with preparation of tenders for equipment supply to achieve best outcomes for SunRice Group businesses
  • Engaging with Operations and Maintenance departments to help build capability in managing their own operating equipment
  • Addressing quality, safety, environmental and sustainability objectives during project delivery

 

 

About You

Due to the multi-site aspect of this job, there will be consistent travel required.  This will mostly be to regional facilities in NSW and VIC.  It is expected that will be approximately 1 week in 4.  These trips will see you working with many different staff within the Group, at all levels, from operational plant floor staff through to Senior management.  Therefore, we need a skilled and experienced relationship builder, who enjoys the people aspect of their work.  Some of the more traditional engineering requirements of the role are:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)
  • Ideally some project management experience within manufacturing
  • Keen to learn, you are a confident communicator who bis proactive in providing solution.
