BGIS is looking for a talented and engaging Fitter & Turner with Welding Skills to join our dynamic team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Ensure safety and compliance by adhering to OHS&E policies
• Handle fabrication and maintenance tasks, including all types of welding (even on hardened materials).
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs across the site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, staying on top of inspections and routine checks.
• Keep things running smoothly by managing daily operations and ensuring work orders are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Work alongside our facilities and site management teams to hit key targets.
• Offer support to fellow maintenance staff and oversee subcontractors when required.
• Ensure everything complies with laws, regulations, codes, and BGIS systems.

What We're Looking For:

• Technical qualifications in Fabrication, Welding, Boiler Making, or Plumbing Services.
• Hands-on experience in a property or corporate environment.
• Strong business sense with a good understanding of finances.
• Competency in tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of other trades and services (Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing).
• Certifications like Elevated Work Platform (EVP) or Forklift Licence.
