Mechanical Fitter
We are looking for two (2) qualified Mechanical Fitters for our valued client, who specialises in manufacturing mechanical components, with expertise in heavy engineering, precision engineering, defence, in-service support, and rail.
These roles are based in Henderson and offer a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work on both Defence and commercial projects, with overtime available when required.
Hours of Work: 6.30am – 3pm (38 hours per week)
Duties Include:
- Manufacturing through to Support (Repair, Maintenance, Servicing and Reconditioning),
- Manufacturing and fabrications of Rudders, Stabilisers, Davits, Doors and Hatches
- Mechanical fitting on Naval vessels
- Maintenance planning, onsite repairs, servicing and maintenance
- Assembly / overhaul of mechanical parts and equipment
Essential Qualifications:
- Trade Qualified in either Mechanical Fitting or Fitter / Machinist
- Confined space certification
- Working at heights certification
- National Police Clearance
- Eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- Full PPE
Desirable Qualifications:
- Forklift license
- Dogging certification
