Fitter & Turner Apprenticeship | Hydraulic Engineering

About the role

Based in Wonthaggi, this fulltime, Monday to Friday apprenticeship will see the successful applicant studying a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering while working for an industry leader in the field of Hydraulic Engineering.

You will learn to master the art of crafting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components under the guidance of professionals, and you will develop the skills needed to fabricate and repair parts with precision and excellence.

What you will be doing

• Operate general manual machines including milling, grinding and turning
• Dismantle and assembly of various pieces of equipment
• Perform repairs and maintenance of existing equipment
• Problem solve and work with plant and heavy equipment
• Comply with OH&S policies and procedures.

What we are looking for

• Current Manual Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• White Card
• Working with Children’s Check (highly desired)
• Commitment to a 4-year apprenticeship and attending training (paid for by AGA)
• Team Player
• Attention to Detail
• Must be an Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident 
• Completion of a Pre-Apprenticeship Cert II (preferred)
