We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fitter to join our skilled Workshop team based in Newcastle.

Key duties include

  • Workshop installations and pre-delivery inspection duties for all new or used cranes and hook loaders

  • Fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture

  • Installation of new cranes to Palfinger standards

  • Service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders

  • Preparation of annual inspection certificates

  • Completion of all documentation

  • Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures in order to enhance the safety culture & performance of the site.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Prior experience working in a similar industry

  • Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent; 

  • Experience working on heavy vehicles

  • Experience with cranes and or hook loaders an advantage

  • Ability to interpret drawings and procedures

  • Have strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Have demonstrated ability to work safely

  • Have good time management and work prioritisation skills

  • Have a current Drivers licence, HR preferable; 

  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check.
