Fitter – 6 week Contract

We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team based in Thornton, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in a large, fully equipped workshop.

Casual Fitters – Immediate Start

• Workshop-based project role in Thornton
• Project Work for 6 weeks
• Hourly Rate: $52.71 + super
• Immediate start (subject to passing pre-employment medical)

Work Hours:

• 12 hour days
• 6 days a week
• 6 week project

Selection Criteria:

• Relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years workshop and/or site experience
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Experience with light vehicles, excavation equipment, hydraulics, and OEM gear
• Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
• Must be locally based in the Newcastle/Hunter Region

• Experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills.
• 2 years workshop and or site experience.
• A can-do attitude with the drive to succeed
• Willing to travel for short-term projects when required
