Macadamia Farm Management is seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter to join our workshop team in Welcome Creek. This is a hands‑on role supporting a large, modern macadamia farming operation through the maintenance, repair, and improvement of plant and machinery.

We’re open to trade‑qualified Fitters as well as highly experienced candidates without formal qualifications, particularly those who bring strong practical knowledge, initiative, and sound problem‑solving skills.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a high degree of autonomy in a varied environment, where your experience and ideas can genuinely improve reliability and efficiency across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair fixed and mobile plant
  • Diagnose, repair, and install hydraulic systems
  • Operate machining equipment to manufacture or repair components as required
  • Fabricate and modify machinery and equipment to support farm operations
  • Assist with fault‑finding and preventative maintenance activities
  • Work collaboratively with farm and workshop teams to meet operational requirements
  • Share knowledge and support other workshop team members

What We’re Looking For:

  • Trade‑qualified Fitter
  • Practical machining experience, particularly with manual lathes and mills
  • Strong background in hydraulics, machinery maintenance, and fabrication
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of jobs
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
