About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to operate and maintain a range of manual machinery, ensuring components are machined to precise specifications and meeting production requirements.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Performing quality control inspections to ensure precision
• Collaborating closely with a small, tight-knit workshop team
• Operating manual lathes, milling machines, drilling and slotting equipment
• Supporting shutdown and site-based work when required (optional travel for extra earning potential)

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting
• Proven experience with manual machining equipment
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Trade qualification as a Machinist with Cert III in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to health and safety procedures
• Willingness to learn, with training opportunities provided to grow into hydraulic technician roles
