Cater Care Services are seeking motivated kitchenhands to join our remote villages across Western Australia. You will work 14 days on and have 7 days off (with meals, uniforms and accommodation included), giving you a real opportunity to save and improve your work/life balance. If you have a strong knowledge of food safety and enjoy working in a team environment, we want to hear from you.
What does a day in the life of a FIFO Kitchenhand look like?
- Cleaning of dining room and kitchen areas
- Working both day and nightshift
- Assisting chef with food preparation
- Wiping of tables
- Mopping floors
- Maintaining food safety standards
- Temperature checking
- Emptying rubbish bins
- Safe handling of chemicals
- Repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting and bending
- Assisting with truck day
- Assisting the broader utility team as required
- Demonstrate a strong safety culture
To get a start you’ll need:
- The ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
Requirements:
- Current Australian driver's license
- 6-12 months kitchen experience
- Police clearance (within 6 months)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (highly desirable)
- Hospitality experience (desirable)
