About the role:
We are seeking for a duel trade Mechanical Fitter / Electrician to join our Team! This position will be FIFO to Mount Isa from Brisbane on a 1:1 roster. This role suits someone who can carry out repairs and maintenance on plant, and equipment on a water evaporation project at Cannington Mine.
You must have unlimited working rights in Australia to apply for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrician
• Maintenance and repair of equipment (including Cummins KTTA50 gensets)
• Testing, maintenance, repair and fault-finding of electric driven pumps and associated equipment
• Conduct complete wiring on new equipment and telemetry panel builds
• Responsible for tests, calibrate, installs, repair and inspecting of monitoring devices
Mechanical Fitter
• Undertaking maintenance & repair of equipment
• Performing engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicing
• Inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage, ensuring the assessment includes scope of repairs and parts
• Accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the role
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
• Relevant Trade Certificate (Electrical and mechanical or mechanical fitting)
• Drivers License
• Ability to follow workshop manuals.
• Experience in diesel engine and pump maintenance/repairs.
• Ability to carry out light machining lathe work.
• Experience in assessing and coping required repairs & parts.
• Experience in rebuilds on various modes of pumping equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret and record pressure gauge readings.
• Use of measuring equipment, i.e., rulers, feeler gauges, dial test indicators.
• Experience in aligning pump ends to drive systems.
• Organisational and multi-tasking skills.
• Able to work unsupervised.
Desirable:
• Experience in the Mining, Construction or Heavy Industries.
• Experience in the rental industry.
• Experience in diesel engine rebuilds.
• Forklift Ticket.
• Working at heights.
• Senior first aid.
