About the Role:

This is a great FIFO opportunity to work on the maintenance and repairs of pump and power at a Gold Mine in North-East Queensland on a 2/2 roster. You will perform assembly, testing, repairs and maintenance to plant and equipment on site, which includes mine site dewatering. Travel, meals and accommodation are provided.

You must have unlimited working rights in Australia to apply for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking maintenance & repair of equipment
• Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner
• Performing engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicing
• Inspections and assessments of fleet for damage, ensuring the assessment includes scope of repairs and parts
• Accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the role
• Connection and testing of pumping equipment
• Mine site dewatering
• Undertake servicing, installs and repairs in the field
• Delivering excellent customer service and championing the NPE brand whilst on site

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Current C-class Driver's Licence
• Relevant Trade Certificate – Mechanical/Engineering (or similar)
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs
• Experience in electric pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, duty testing, well point installation
• Experience aligning pump ends to drive systems
• Assessing and scoping required repairs & parts
• Ability to read, interpret and record pressure gauge readings (with micrometers, feeler gauges, dial test indicators)
• Ability to read manuals and schematics, document repair notes and interpret parts information
• Able to work unsupervised with limited direction

Desirable:

• Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries
• Forklift ticket
