We are on the hunt for a customer-focused and driven Resident Field Service Fitter to join our award-winning team. This is a permanent position that requires the candidate to be living in Hervey Bay.
As a Resident Field Service Fitter, you will:
- Provide maximum satisfaction to our customers by ensuring all maintenance and repairs are carried out to the highest possible standard
- Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product
- Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
- Ensure that the customer is part of the decision process on large dollar value item repair or replacement and is kept informed of all matters in relations to the job, including job progress
- Support the sale of genuine parts, and when requested, give guidance and advice to the customer on supply of genuine parts

About You
A successful teammate will have:
- Relevant Trade qualification
- Industry experience in earthmoving, construction, quarrying and open cut mining
- Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as a team as required.
- Demonstrated and proven ability with electronic devices.
- Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic and information systems (ET, Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
- Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.
- Your ability to work under pressure during peak periods is essential.
- Previous OEM or dealership experience will be seen as advantageous.
