Experienced Bicycle Mechanic and Instructor
People on Bicycles is seeking a Experienced Bicycle Mechanic and Instructor to join our team in South Fremantle, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bicycle services, sales, refurbishments, and keeping our bicycle fleet in exceptional condition as well as assist in instructing children and adults in basic bicycle safety. This is a casual position with the potential for growth as the business expands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic bicycle mechanic tasks including repairs and maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
- Assist with workshop organization and inventory management
- Keep track of repair orders and update customers on progress
- Assist with events on weekends
- Assist with educating/instructing children and adults in basic bicycle mechanics
- Help grow the business by providing suggestions for improvement
Skills:
- Experienced Bicycle Mechanic with more than 1000 bicycles serviced, safety checked, repaired or built in the last 3 years
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Enthusiasm to travel across WA.
- First Aid certificate preferred
- working with children check required
Qualifications:
- Cert IV in mechanics or similar desirable
- Driver's license and ability to drive with a trailer, or enthusiasm to learn
- customer service experience

Location: predominantly within Perth Metropolitan area, with occasional travel in regional areas in WA. Our workshop is located in South Fremantle
Duration: Casual with potential to grow into ongoing permanent, part-time or full-time employment
Salary range is provided as hourly rate plus Super
