Salary range $113,448 – $131,517 plus super and allowances.

Who are you?
A motivated and passionate Mechanical Engineer, eager to offer on-site expertise during our once-in-30-year asset refurbishments. With professional engineering qualifications and extensive experience in mechanical engineering, you bring knowledge in NDT methods, FEA and CAD, welding inspection, and hydraulic systems. Your proven background in asset management, refurbishing rotating machinery, and procurement makes you well-suited for this role. As a strategic thinker with values-based decision-making and strong problem-solving skills, you'll enhance asset performance and help achieve excellent results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role will require spending significant time away on sites so a willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license is essential.
About the role:
To put it simply… you will use your technical experience to contribute to delivering our Major Works refurbishment program. This will involve supporting the design and delivery of replacements of hydropower assets that have been operating for over 100 years!
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be…
✓ Providing engineering and technical advice to Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Production Managers, and Operational teams.
✓ Reviewing and make recommendations towards the final engineering sign-off of key engineering documents.
✓ Spending time both in our Hobart office for planning and preparation, through to spending time onsite during key refurbishment activities to provide support.
✓ Providing technical input into Business Case preparation, including appropriate scope and estimate development and evaluation of valid options.
✓ Work closely with a range of stakeholders including Production and Commercial teams.
