About the role:

We’re currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

What you'll be doing?

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the branch network.
  • Maintain compliance with Australian Standards, electrical regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
  • Manage preventative and breakdown maintenance activities through the Maintenance Management System (MEX), ensuring equipment remains operational and downtime is minimised.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to maintain production capability.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, equipment condition reports, and project updates in a timely manner.
  • Support engineering and continuous improvement projects, including machinery modifications and equipment upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist with workforce planning, shift handovers, spare parts management, and provide technical advice and support to employees as required.
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving maintenance issues, while supporting the training and development of Apprentices.


Skills And Experiences

What we're looking for?

  • Trade qualified Electrician with a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and a current Queensland Electrical Licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve individual, team, and business objectives while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in industrial and domestic electrical installations, including LV/HV switching.
  • Strong knowledge of communications installations, electrical schematics, and fault-finding techniques.
  • Proven ability to coordinate workflows, resources, and special projects effectively.
  • Capable of working independently, contributing to team success, and handling customer feedback professionally.
  • Ability to read engineering and electrical drawings and safely perform manual handling tasks in accordance with legislation.
  • Current Driver’s Licence, Forklift Licence, and EWP Licence
  • Experience in the steel/building industry is desirable.
