Electrician

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team at Springers Solar! If you are experienced in solar or not, we have the resources to train you. Working with leading brands like Tesla, we can help you become an expert electrician in the renewable energy sector.

We are North Side located with onsite parking … no more sitting in traffic or paying for parking. Leave your car at our HQ in Lawnton, jump in a truck to go to site & eliminate your travel costs!

You will also be entitled to 13 RDOs a year and 17 % leave loading.

The role

This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to work overtime if you prefer and even become SAA-qualified! (Previously CEC)

You will work alongside a team of other electricians, apprentices and roof laborers to achieve a successful install on residential and commercial projects. The role includes but is not limited to:

• Connect PV systems to the grid or to a battery storage system
• Testing and commissioning PV systems to ensure proper operation
• Performing maintenance and repairs on PV systems
• Complying with local and national electrical codes and regulations
• Providing technical support and customer service to clients
• Educate customers about the benefits and operation of PV systems

About you

We are seeking a highly motivated person who loves to celebrate the wins with us!

Having experience in solar is an advantage but not mandatory, we have the resources to train you in this industry.

• Electrical license
• LVR CPR
• White Card
• Driver’s license - Truck license is an advantage but not mandatory, we will probably organise for you to get your truck license anyway!
• Working at heights - An advantage however we are happy to fund the training course if you do not have this.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
