Electrician

About the role 

Are you a trade-qualified Electrician with experience as a Fitter Turner? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our MCC Adelaide Engineering team in a hands-on role, supporting our site with electrical and machine troubleshooting.

Based in Adelaide, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our diverse range of equipment. Working closely with our Mechanical Engineer, you will ensure machinery operates at peak performance, contribute to process improvements, and support the overall success of our site.

In this exciting and varied role, you will:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with regulations and safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and component configurations.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, wiring, and controls.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to address electrical needs and ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections.
• Follow safety protocols strictly to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.

About you 

• A-Grade Electrical License
• Having a dual trade as a Fitter Turner would be desirable but not required.
• Good experience in troubleshooting, fault finding and maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication skills.
• High level of autonomy and adaptability.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• High regard of adhering to safety standards
