We are searching for a self-motivated and experienced Electrician to join our small team – doing great things!  You will ultimately be responsible for building upkeep and ensuring building and equipment readiness to host our amazing client events, conferences, and exhibitions.

THE ROLE!

As an Electrician here at GCCEC, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plant and equipment
• Preventative Maintenance of electrical and control systems
• End of month meter readings
• Assisting Sub Contractors
• Maintenance of general building equipment
• Assisting other team members with building maintenance where required

ABOUT YOU!

The idea candidate for this role will have the following skills, knowledge, personal attributes and experience:  

• Electrical Trade Qualifications
• A focus on Safety practices
• Recent experience performing electrical work in a large venue is preferred, but not essential
• A Customer Service focused individual who genuinely enjoys working with people
• Flexibility to work nights, days and weekends
• Initiative and a sense of responsibility
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Commitment to excellence and attention to detail
• The ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm and efficient demeanour
