Service Stream are on the hunt for Electricians to join our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team at our base site in Port Melbourne.
We are hiring Electricians to join our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team. We have key long-term projects for you to support, including a renowned major transport infrastructure project. You will have a home base of our new site in Port Melbourne and will be offered on a permanent full-time basis.
In this role you will maintain and upgrade electrical, and control systems associated with transport infrastructure. Occasionally you may be called upon to deliver small maintenance works projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out project-based installation tasks to assets and processes including, but not limited to:
- Cable tray and management systems
- Electrical reconnect / disconnect
- Response to and rectification of equipment failure
- Fault finding of the process
- Basic maintenance tasks to remedy faults
- Installation and augmentation of assets/plant/installations
- Maintenance and Fault finding of assets/plant/installations
- Programmed Maintenance & minor works
- Commissioning & de-commissioning of assets/plant/installations
- Providing technical support to engineers and production personnel
- Fostering a culturally aware, inclusive, engaged and high-performance team that supports a values-based workplace culture
- Empowering team members to make and own decisions and respectfully challenge and support each other.
- Participating in rostering which ensures efficient and continuous operation of critical infrastructure.
- Fostering collaborative engagement with external trade stakeholders to ensure efficient performance of services and minor works projects.
- Fostering positive relationship with apprentices to drive enhanced trade skills of apprentices.
About You
You are an experienced operative who safely and efficiently undertakes project works. You are committed to ensuring a reliable and secure electrical supply while minimising environmental impact and maintaining positive operational and community relations.
Our ideal candidates will have:
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Current VIC Electrical Licence.
- 3 years’ experience in the Construction / Transport or similar industries.
- Experience with plant and equipment associated with Transport systems and infrastructure.
- Experience working to strict set of quality systems.
- Capability in inspection, testing, adjustment and repairs of electrical equipment.
- Practical experience with testing and commissioning of electrical installation in a complex environment.
- Instrumentation & Control fault finding ability.
- Willingness to upskill and undertake additional training for ongoing development.
