The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for a Electrical Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance Team based in Townsville. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

ou’ll be based at our Townsville site as well as the opportunity to manage projects across other branches within the region. You will be working to complete scheduled maintenance, you will also be required for call outs, after hours/weekend and shutdown hours. Shift will be day shift (6:00am – 2:30pm). Overtime is available and this position will be eligible for our bonus scheme as well as 14% Super.

What Will You Do?

In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will be the first and main point of contact when it comes to equipment and maintenance.

You will be:

  • ensuring stoppages, performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner.
  • maintaining formal maintenance, change management, down time, and quality records in accordance with company requirements and procedures
  • working consistently towards the completion of the electrical preventative maintenance schedule for the site
  • diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues with plant and machinery
  • working with our fitters to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are identified and introduced wherever practicable.
