Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. The Diesel Mechanic will work closely with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines and vehicles
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems
- Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds as needed
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Communicate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are maintained and repaired in a timely manner
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in diesel-powered vehicles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards
