Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled technician who enjoys working in a professional workshop environment, values teamwork and takes pride in producing quality work.

About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicles and transport equipment.

You will work alongside a highly skilled team in a modern workshop environment while being supported through ongoing training and development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Performing inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Working closely with Service Advisors, Parts and fellow Technicians
  • Accurately completing repair documentation and job records
  • Participating in ongoing manufacturer training programs
  • Contributing to a safe, organised and productive workshop environment
  • Participating in the after-hours breakdown and on-call roster as required

About You

The successful applicant will be:

✔ A qualified Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician

✔ Positive, motivated and reliable

✔ A strong team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture

✔ Able to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

✔ Safety focused and professional in their approach

✔ Experienced in fault finding and diagnostics

✔ Committed to delivering quality outcomes for customers

✔ Willing to learn and continually develop their skills

✔ Comfortable working within a continuous improvement and Lean environment

✔ Able to communicate effectively with fellow team members and customers

✔ Looking for a long-term career opportunity

A Heavy Vehicle licence is preferred but not essential.

Previous experience with Volvo, Mack, UD, Hino or other heavy vehicle brands will be highly regarded, however applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
