We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our high performing team, working across the Melbourne Metropolitan region and based out of our Little River workshop.

The role

The successful Diesel Mechanic will assist in servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile plant equipment including fault finding and diagnostics to help prevent break downs or unexpected down time of machinery.

• Diagnose faults on heavy earthmoving and mobile crushing plant (engine focused)

• Perform routine maintenance to maintain quality and condition of plant

• Perform minor and major repairs on all plant

• Major component re-builds

• Attending break downs on site and ensuring machines are brought back into service in a safe and reasonable time frame

Working hours vary, minimum working hours are Monday - Friday 6.30am - 5.30am with overtime regularly available. More information on our terms and conditions of employment can be found in our Enterprise Agreement (EBA) Mansfield Crushing Enterprise Agreement 2023.

About you

The successful candidate will have a mechanical trade qualification (heavy plant preferable), manual drivers license (HR preferred), along with min 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic. You will demonstrate high ethical standards, work attitude and aptitude for working under pressure. Delivering first class service and support to clients comes naturally to you, as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be part of a high performing team that communicates across all levels and stakeholders with respect and accountability.
