The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and internal promotion, Wild Desert is seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Moomba on a 2/2 Roster FIFO from Brisbane.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our heavy machinery, plant, equipment and vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components

- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a range of heavy-duty equipment

- Identify and resolve complex mechanical issues

- Maintain accurate records of all work completed

- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

- Complete work tasks as assigned in Business Management System
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 3 years’ experience

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

- Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to safety and quality standards

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Oil and Gas Field experience is favourable

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
