We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant to help us scale our operations and support our financial success.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are expanding the maintenance team and are looking for trade-qualified diesel fitters (diagnostic) and trade-qualified heavy commercial mechanics. The roles include contributing to the team efforts and business goals by:

  • Adhering to all safety protocols and embracing Hillery Group's safety culture.
  • Undertake maintenance, preventative maintenance and refurbishment of Hillery Group’s and associated companies’ plant, fleet, and equipment following the manufacturers’ requirements and company standards.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy machinery.
  • Maintain and compile relevant records on maintenance and repair works, including completion of all necessary paperwork associated with purchase orders, invoicing, service records etc.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, software, and techniques to identify faults and inefficiencies.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Ensures high-quality workmanship through precise and meticulous repairs.
  • Respond to call-outs as required.

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a Diesel Fitter & Heavy Commercial Mechanic with a can-do flexible attitude and excellent customer service skills as well as the following:

• Must be trade qualified with at least 3-5 years post-trade experience.

• Hold a current QLD MR driver’s licence or be willing to obtain it.

• Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

• A ‘CAN-DO” attitude with the ability to deliver first-class solutions.

• High level of diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with fixed plant equipment and heavy commercial machinery.

• Positive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

• High regard for safety on the job.

• Experience with working and providing instruction to apprentices.

• Australian citizen or right to work in Australia.
