Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and as an integral member of the Maintenance and Engineering team, the primary purpose of this role is to safely and effectively maintain heavy earth moving equipment to a standard and quality required to meet target outputs.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
• Providing mechanical maintenance and services.
• Trouble shooting and the ability to located and solve unplanned breakdowns with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
About you:
• Possess a AUR31220 - Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Mobile Plant Equipment) or an equivalent qualification.
• Have previous experience working on heavy earth moving equipment.
• Able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
