Diesel Fitter

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and equipment across civil construction industry. The Diesel Fitter will work closely with other team members to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and equipment
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
• Install and test new diesel engines and equipment
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all equipment is running smoothly
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diesel mechanic apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
