Demolition/Asbestos Labourer

Job Description: We are currently seeking labourers with experience in the building trades willing to undertake training for a career in demolition, asbestos works & building projects.

This role will involve both Demolition and Asbestos labouring, you will be responsible for safely removing, handling, and disposing of asbestos-containing materials in various settings and will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and proper removal of asbestos to protect both workers and the surrounding environment. The tasks may include setting up containment areas, wearing protective gear, using specialised equipment for asbestos removal, and following strict safety protocols to prevent asbestos exposure. Demolition tasks may include ensuring safe and efficient dismantling of structures and using small power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform demolition, asbestos and civil construction tasks as directed
• Perform various manual tasks
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure work is completed efficiently
• Operate tools and equipment safely
• Assist with site clean-up and maintenance

Requirements:

• Previous labouring experience on civil construction projects or similar industry
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and power tools including jackhammer
• Previous experience in demolition and civil construction work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
