Position Overview:
Sloanebuilt is looking for an experienced auto electrician with advanced functional capabilities and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of custom trailers and trucks. This role requires a strong focus on operating and managing electrical/calibration tools and equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Install electrical equipment and electronic components in trailers & trucks
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults in trailer systems.
• Test and replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and starter motors
• Dismantle and remove electrical and electronic assemblies and components
• Establish connections between power-operated trailer equipment and the power source.
• Calibrate engine control systems and timing for optimal performance.
• Repair and replace faulty ignition and electrical wiring
• Substitute malfunctioning components, including switches, lamps, fuses, and relays, to ensure trailer functionality.
• Understand and adhere to Sloanebuilt Trailers Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
• Report incidents and accidents promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications:
• Trade certified with at least 7-8 years of experience.
• Experience in a managerial role is preferred.
• Knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry is preferred.
