🌟 The Role

This isn’t just another operations role.

This is your chance to work on a groundbreaking green hydrogen project right here in Brisbane—helping shape the future of clean energy.

GR Production Services is proud to operate and maintain the Methylcyclohexane (MCH) Demonstration Plant at Bulwer Island—a world-first facility using advanced hydrogen carrier technology never deployed outside Japan.

Screening and interviewing will begin immediately, with a start date of 03 August 2026. 

🔥 Your Impact

Control Room Operator

  • Monitor and control advanced process systems (SCADA, SIS, fire & safety systems)
  • Drive safe, efficient plant performance and production optimisation
  • Lead start-ups, shutdowns, and real-time problem solving
  • Support system improvements and operational strategy
  • Play a key role in emergency response and plant coordination

 

🛡 Operator/Maintainer – Mechanical

  • Execute critical mechanical maintenance and plant operations
  • Lead isolations, commissioning support, and equipment reliability activities
  • Perform field operations, inspections, and chemical transfer activities
  • Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise uptime

Work across both operations and maintenance disciplines

🎯 What You Bring

✅ 5+ years in Oil & Gas, Chemical, or process industries

✅ Strong understanding of plant operations and/or mechanical maintenance

✅ Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical documentation

✅ A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

✅ Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

 

🧠 Qualifications (role dependent):

  • Certificate III in Process Plant Operations
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical role)
  • Permit Authority, Gas Testing, First Aid
  • High-risk licences - WP, LF, RB etc.
