The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Construction Electricians to join the team delivering the underground installation of a new gyratory crusher and associated materials handling system. This role is focused on the safe, accurate installation of electrical infrastructure, ensuring all work meets project specifications, site standards and mining regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install cable support systems including cable tray, conduit, catenary, throughout underground environment.
• Install switchgear, junction boxes, MCCs, transformers, VSDs, lighting, and communications equipment.
• Installation and terminations of High voltage, power, communication, instrument and control cables
• Ensure correct earthing, bonding of electrical systems across all installations.
• Carry out quality checks and basic testing (continuity, insulation resistance) during installation.

Our Division

PHE Mining delivers electrical and instrumentation systems that respond to the evolving needs of the mining industry – from early works and underground infrastructure to upgrades that support energy transition minerals. Our scope spans dewatering systems, automated plant, borehole cabling, fibre networks and control infrastructure, along with ongoing maintenance in technically demanding and remote settings.

PHE Mining recently secured honours at the 2025 NECA SA/NT Excellence Awards, across the Industrial Large ($2M–$20M) and Industrial X-Large ($20M+) categories for BHP’s Carrapateena Hydrofloat and Crusher 2.0 projects. What We’re Looking For

• 3 years' experience as a fully qualified electrician
• Able to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner
• Excellent attitude to safety
• Underground and or mining experience will be highly regarded

The successful candidate will have:

• Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech
• Current Electrical License
• High-risk work License (with WP class)
• Working at Heights (Completed in the last 16 months)
• Current CPR/LVR (within the last 9 months)
• Current Unrestricted C Class Driver’s License
• White / Blue Construction Card
