Concreter/Carpenters/Fitters/Poly Welders/Operators/TA's – Mt Isa Locals

Please note: These positions are based in Mt Isa, and applicants are to currently reside in the Mt Isa region or be willing to relocate to Mt Isa to be considered. Relocation assistance may be available for suitable candidates.

The Role:

MCA Engineering has developed a dedicated and motivated workforce with a broad range of expertise and a sincere customer focus. Due to an increase in work in Mt Isa, we are seeking experienced local personnel to join our team for a 12–18 month surface project, including:

• Concreters
• Carpenters
• Fitters
• Poly Welders
• Trade Assistants
• Operators

Starting Indicative Pay Rates (under Enterprise Agreement):

• Trade Assistant (Level 2): $45.70/hr
• Poly Welder (Level 5/6): $57-61/hr
• Operator (Level 5/6): $57-61/hr
• Concreters / Carpenters / Fitters (Level 6): $61.39/hr (Rates dependent on skills, experience, and role)

About You:

• Locally based in Mt Isa
• Current driver’s licence
• Relevant qualifications and tickets
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Mining experience is advantageous
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A testing
• Operators must have either crane, or excavator, bobcat & loader licence
• Concreters must have experience in concrete finishing, including smoothing, leveling, and surface detailing
• Additional tickets and experience that would be highly regarded include: Rigging, Dogging, Franna Non Slew, Excavator ticket, HR Licence
