MRAEL are currently seeking a motivated Fitter and Turner Apprentice to join the team at Geared Engineering. Geared Engineering provide expert repairs, rebuilds and upgrades of industrial power transmissions.

What's involved:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter Machinist. You will be learning alongside tradesmen and engineers to solve real problems in real time, learning to strip, inspect and clean Power Transmission components and assembling gearboxes for both Fixed Plant and Mobile Equipment. You will also be responsible for store pickups and deliveries.

About you:

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• A positive attitude to learn in the workplace,
• High level of mechanical aptitude,
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal,
• Ability to operate equipment and systems,

You must hold a current Drivers Licence.
