About the role:

Join one of Australia’s leading stair manufacturers as a full-time Carpenters Assistant! Working across Melbourne, this role is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. You'll join our close-knit, high-performing Installation team and play a vital role in helping to install custom, high-quality staircases across Melbourne.

What you'll be doing:

• Travelling to job sites and assisting our installers (all travel reimbursed)
• Examining and interpreting CAD drawings and calculating the materials/components required
• Laying out and preparing work
• Carrying out work for the manufacture of staircases and staircase components
  
• Performing order assessments, material ordering and stock takes
• Cleaning machines and work areas daily
• Performing other general duties and carpentry tasks around the factory as required
• Assisting WHS Manager as required
  
  

What you'll bring:

• Drivers licence and reliable transport (essential)
• Forklift licence (handy but not essential)
• Building or timber industry experience (preferred)
