Carpenter

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable Carpenter based in Rockhampton. The primary focus of this position is to provide high-quality maintenance and operations services to ensure the safe and efficient use of Defence land, facilities, and equipment.

Your day to day activities:

• Perform performance-based, scheduled, and responsive maintenance on infrastructure buildings and equipment.
• Use mobile devices for job management including issuing, receipting, and completing maintenance requests.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all stakeholders including colleagues, customers, and the general public.
• Supervise apprentices, subcontractors, and temporary staff as required.
• Provide high-quality trade services independently or as part of a team.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and handle after-hours callouts when necessary.
• Maintain professional conduct and communication at all times.

What you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Carpentary
• 3-5 years post-trade experience in a facilities management environment preferred
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence TSPV security clearance.
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to collaborative work environments.
• Proficient written and oral communication abilities.
• Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions 
• Dedication to achieving 100% compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards, contributing to a zero-harm workplace culture.
