Your previous experience as an Carpenter will be clear in your CV and will demonstrate your ability to be autonomous in a role, you are 1) influential 2) organised. Time management, prioritization professionalism along with displaying a strategic approach to reach goals is a must. You will exhibit problem solving skills and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally with ease. You have a high level of experience in customer satisfaction and project success, staying proactive to ensure we meet our objectives as a business and our personal goals.

You must have a current driver’s license, Australian carpentry certificate and experience working on mine/port sites.

Additional tickets, qualifications, training and competencies are required to be listed on your CV and will be favorable.

Lastly, you typify “Going the Extra Mile” and will have a whole textbook full of examples. If you have a history of being a “Clock Watcher” you’ll last 5 minutes in this role. Part of our culture is – do whatever it takes so our clients, suppliers and team members all win.

THE BUSINESS & ROLE:

Guma Wagagu Australia (GWA) is a multi-discipline construction, civil, engineering, carpentry and renewable leader, operating throughout the Pilbara servicing commercial, industrial, marine and mining sectors. GWA has a fantastic reputation in the industry and are leading the way in values, innovation, team, execution, and customer satisfaction.

GWA predominantly focuses on site-based maintenance, construction and remediation projects.

The role at GWA involves working on local and site projects, collaborating closely with clients. Representing GWA safely and professionally is crucial to achieving our objectives.

As an Carpenter your role will include but not be limited to:

• Organising carpentry jobs/projects

• Executing carpentry jobs/projects

• Planning projects, methodology and execution strategies

• Exposure to designing and understanding the technical aspects of renewables

• Working positively within a team

• Partaking in prestart meetings

• Partaking in safety toolbox meetings

• Completing routine maintenance tasks

• Brainstorming safer and more efficient ways of executing works
