Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA), in partnership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), has been awarded the Australian Government contract to support apprenticeships and traineeships in Victoria for 2024-2026 and nation-wide.

 

Leveraging 26 years of experience, ASA enhances services to improve retention, completion, and satisfaction rates for apprentices and employers. ASA offers free, comprehensive advice and assistance, ensuring apprentices and employers understand how to access quality support throughout their apprenticeship or traineeship.

 

Apprenticeships and traineeships are crucial to the Australian Vocational Education and Training system, significantly contributing to the economy by aligning career aspirations with employer needs. ASA is proud to support this vital system nationally.

 

About the role

This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and acquiring new strategic partnerships while expanding apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities through a proactive and consultative sales approach and effective networking. Your key responsibility will be to understand prospective clients’ needs and convert these insights into new apprenticeship or traineeship sign-ups, fostering long-term partnerships with ASA serving as a frontline trusted advisor.

 

About you

This position is well suited to an organised and self-driven, highly sales-oriented individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy sales environment, and can build rapport and partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, experience in the following areas is preferred, but not limited to:

·        Proven business development experience and success, ideally within the Australian Apprenticeship system.

·        Ability to build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders which includes but not limited to employers, RTOs, GTOs, TAFE and Employment Service providers.

·        Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve growth targets.

·        Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and identify opportunities.
