Job Title: Boilermaker Welder
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker Welder to join our manufacturing and production team in Wyong, New South Wales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, operate machinery, and perform quality checks on finished products. Stainless Steel experience is highly regarded but not essential, as is the ability to fabricate Balustrades. As a Boilermaker /Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating structural steel assemblies, welding them together according to specifications, and ensuring the structural integrity of the final product. We have ongoing varied work with the option to move into a permanent role for the right person. casual rate is $46.87 plus OT rates apply.
Skills:
- Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Experience operating hand tools (grinders, saws) as well as heavy machinery (welding machines)
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate measurements and precise welds
- Solid understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings/blueprints to determine project specifications
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending or shaping them using appropriate tools
- Perform various types of welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Stick) based on project requirements
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds for accuracy and strength
- Maintain equipment by performing regular maintenance checks
and repairs when necessary
Adhere strictly to health & safety guidelines during all stages of work.
- Collaborate with other team members such as engineers or supervisors
to ensure projects are completed within deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training/certification in boiler making/welding is preferred
- Proven experience working as a Boilermaker Welder within a manufacturing environment
- Valid welder certification(s) preferred
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements
- Physical stamina required for standing long hours while performing tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
