About the Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for carrying out various fabrication, welding and assembly tasks within the production team, including but not limited to:
• Operating machinery to fabricate components.
• Welding and assembling larger structures and components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Performing quality control checks, such as ensuring manufactured products meet company standards and specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area.
• Working as part of a team and following all production and safety processes.
About You
To be successful in this position with the voestalpine Railway Systems Australia team, you will need:
• Certificates in welding or working towards Cert III in Fabrication.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and pride in your work.
• Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willing and able to complete a pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing
